Not happening today!!

Work ran late tonight! Blah!

Guess tomorrow I will be well rested and ready to go out and conquer the world.
Just might get more than a mile in tomorrow.

Goal for tomorrow 2 miles.

Off today

I have taken today off from running. My whole body is just tired. I know I did not run much yesterday but I am trying. I decided to lift some weights with my arms and do some lunges. I just hope things go well at work tomorrow so I can get out and run. The weather is supposed to wonderful this week 75 tomorrow and 84 on Wednesday.

I did do some yard work tonight. I only have one small flower bed and cleaned it out....lol.

Staying on task

Today I ran at the track. I actually ran another mile. Time of 7.27. The weather was in the 50's. It was a bit windy and chilly.

Goal this week is to make it to the gym 3 times and run 5 miles total. Four weeks until the Trolley Run.

I purchased a pair of Nike shoes on Friday. I wore them around the house today and decided they are a half size to small. So I will be returning them for another size. I also purchased the Nike+ sensor. It is not compatible my IPhone 3G. My contract for my phone is not up until June, so the sensor went back to the store as well.

I have downloaded the app Run Keeper on my phone for now and will use it until I can upgrade my phone.

Getting Started

The week of March 13th - 18 I was on a cruise with my family to Mexico. I decided that while on this cruise I was going to take up running to get in better shape. This would be the perfect week to start because I did not have the pressure of work or any other distractions.

March 13th I actually ran a mile. I had know idea I could run a mile anymore? Wow, it felt pretty good.

My goal is to run in the Kansas City Trolley run on April 25th.

1 mile down and many more to go!
